| Quote: | | Constellation chronicles the lives and loves of an African-American family in the deep South as they are forced to come to terms with a tumultuous past marked by an unrequited interacial affair. The film explores the way in which the family patriarch must confront his demons amidst the changing racial fabric of society and his own family |
The film does a nice job of comparing the difficulties of interracial relationships in the 1940s to easier times of today.
Billy Dee Williams plays the twice divorced father of two daughters. One by his wife Leslie Ann Warren and another by Rae Dawn Chong.
I met the director, Jordan Walker-Pearlman, who is the grandson of a famous African-American activist, Adele Walker and the nephew of actor Gene Wildman.
